Selected for Asan City's first Future Unicorn Club
FLUX has been selected for the first cohort of the Future Unicorn Club, a programme Asan City launched this year. Twenty-six companies applied, a ratio of 3.7 to 1. The A-Tech consortium of local universities and innovation institutions assessed technology competitiveness and growth potential with outside expert reviewers. The city had planned to select five companies and raised the number to seven after reviewing the applicants.
Selected companies hold the Asan Future Unicorn Club designation for three years. Support includes a growth strategy based on a company diagnosis, R&D upgrades, investment advice from accelerators and venture capital firms, and links to the regional growth fund and private investors. Hoseo University and the A-Tech consortium assign a dedicated manager to each company to help with regulation, permits, policy financing and premises.
The certificates were presented at Asan City Hall on 1 October.
